HEI Learning Centre is proud to be among those institutions in New Jersey that are renowned for optimum quality standards. Our courses are designed in a unique way that will develop you to have the right skills, not only academically but also industrially. Our extensive range of taught courses is designed to be of the very highest quality and of direct relevance to the Industry of your choice, whether it’s IT, Healthcare, Business Programs, English Language Training or Construction.

What Makes HEI Learning Centre so effective?

We provide the resources and the learning environment in which our students can maximize their personal development.

Optimum Class Size

We have always gained by not overcrowding our classrooms but by giving our students a more hands on personal experience with their instructor.  At a ratio of no more than 15 to 1 per instructor this class becomes a team.

Access to Internet, etc

Access to support facilities (the Internet, printer, facsimile machine, photocopy machine, etc.) for access to information, producing output, sending information, reproducing material for submission or for presentation, etc.

Tools for Presentation

Access to (and ability to use) office automation and other tools (e.g. Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, etc.) to create presentation material, document projects, and so on.

Daily Practice (Single/Group)

Extreme Hands on Approach - Learn and practice your understanding of what was learned right away --- starting with personal exercises and (where appropriate) proceeding to exercises involving a group of students.

Focus ("What You Need")

There's a lot to know. Since time is always limited, students focus on what they "need to know" to be proficient in their chosen career --- no filler courses, no "just nice to know" topics.

Context

Knowledge in a vacuum (or an "ivory tower") is not very useful. Whatever is learned is always placed in the context of how it can be (and has been) used in the real world of business and industry. Practical application of the knowledge is used to prove the student's understanding of the subject.

From Basics to Troubleshooting

Newcomers learn the basics, while experienced individuals review the basics to ensure their full understanding. Once the basics are established, the program proceeds quickly to application of the knowledge, including problem solving and troubleshooting, the ultimate test of how well a student knows and understands and can respond to variable situations.

Mixed Student Backgrounds

Every class has a different mixture of people. Some are newcomers, others are already experienced. Each student who has a work history has a different background, having worked in a company or a business that may not be familiar to other students in the class. At various points in the program, they provide insight and perspective that is valuable to the class and the subject being discussed.

Short Deadlines

In the fast-paced world of business and industry, most projects have a short time-line. The same is true in this program. Assignments (exercises, labs, workshops, etc.) must be completed within minutes, hours, or days --- not in weeks or months, or with extensions.

Textbooks and Student Aids

Most courses use an industry-recognized textbook for reference. Where third-party textbooks are found to be inadequate, The Institute has used subject matter experts to develop its own reference material. In other cases, internally developed manuals and material supplement third-party textbooks.

Advanced Exercises (if needed)

Some students already have an IT background. Some students advance through the program at a faster pace, with or without an IT background. To accommodate these people, there are supplementary or "advanced" exercises or projects that can be assigned, to challenge and motivate them, while the rest of the class proceeds at "the normal pace".

Tutor for Extra Help or Missed Classes

Because of unforeseen circumstances, a student may be absent for a day or a part of a day. Or a student may find a particular topic challenging. To address these situations, The Institute provides after-hours tutorial services, so that a student can receive additional personal attention or to cover a topic that a student missed. In this way, every student can keep pace with the rest of the class, knowing that nothing has been missed or misunderstood.

Curriculum Development

In today’s constantly changing scenario, it is essential that new technology, new methods, etc. are researched and, where appropriate, brought into the program, as an add-on or as a replacement. HEI keeps the program up-to-date by monitoring the industry and the requirements of business. Changes are made to the material and content of the courses by our Curriculum Advisory Panel on a regular basis, as per the requirement of the Industry.
