Professional Office Administration

The Professional Office Administration course will teach you the fundamentals of the Microsoft Office 2007 which includes, Word 2007, Excel 2007, PowerPoint 2007, Access 2007, Outlook 2007, Internet, Quick Books and Peachtree.

Upon, completion, students will be able to create documents, presentations and databases, organize a work schedule and keep track of daily tasks and contacts. Students will learn about hardware, software and how to use the mouse and keyboard. In this course students will also learn Quick Books, which teaches bookkeeping, managing payroll and processes invoices.

Computer Accounting Specialist

This program provides students with an understanding of theory and application of computer accounting. This 400 hrs program includes Microsoft Word 2007, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Accounting Principals, Quick Books and Peachtree. Upon Completion of this course Student will be eligible for an accounting/bookkeeping position.

Small Business Management

The program was developed by the American Institute of Small Business whose materials serve as the basis for the training program. HEI has added a section introducing computers to the business enterprise. Most of the course is designed as a hand-on approach and consists of writing and gathering of data for the students own business planning and operations. The real “Test” of student success is the creation of the business plan itself. The course shall also prepare the student to seek career choices in the private sector as managers, assistant managers and other management related occupations.
